21 FOR 21 AT 21: Wish #19

WISH #19: BRING BACK THE MUPPETS!!!

I want those educational or humorous puppet shows back on TV.

Why do we always come here? I guess we'll never know...♪
It's kind of like a torture to have to watch a show...♫

Creepy lookin' hula dancers. I loved Pepe the Prawn though.

"Mama...♪ Mama? Mama?! MAMA! MAMAMAMAMAMA!"
-- Animal

And I remember the termite chef with the French accent...

Ahh, soundtrack of my early childhood.

Diri ko natun-an ang kanta nga "Alin? ♪ Alin? ♪ Alin ang naiba? ♫"
Plus, KUYA BODJIE!!!

I am proud and privileged to be part of a generation that grew up watching these shows. Now, to look for Jim Henson's grave to try out that "Resurrection Spell" and usher in a Renaissance of Puppetry. ;)

Wishes #18 to 1 still coming up. Good luck, godspeed, God bless!

21 FOR 21 AT 21: Wish #20

WISH #20: TAKE PART IN SOME SCI-FI FILM PRODUCTION.

Bisan minor character ukon extra man lang sa sine with all the elaborate props/prosthetics/costumes, and advanced technological stuff.

Bisan Tusken raider (Sandpeople) man lang
ukon puppeteer sa Episode VII, VIII, kag IX sang Star Wars

Or perhaps if they would make another film adaptation of Frank Herbert's "Dune" saga (and I hope they do, with the motif based on the David Lynch adaptation), tani kuha-on na lang 'ko nila nga "Mentat" ("Human Computer"). :3

Like Thufir Hawat, Master of Assassins
and Mentat to House Atreides

(Note: Walang kaduda-duda. No doubt about it. I'M A GEEK.)

Watch out for Wishes #19 to 1. Good luck, godspeed, God bless!

PS: Wish me luck for the Midterm Exams and please campaign more against the Cybercrime Law whose TRO will be terminated this Feb. 5/6. NO TO E-MARTIAL LAW!

21 FOR 21 AT 21: Wish #21

Ah, the first day of February. Twenty days to go until I turn 21. Yep, the big Lucky 7+7+7...

Man, I'm getting old...

And so,  to commemorate my 21 years of existence, I will post a sort of wish list. But not just any wish list. It  is...

MY TOP 21 FOR 21 AT 21 WISHLIST!

This means that for every day starting today until the 21st of February, I will post a wish that my kapritso/budhi so desires for... Beware! Some might be corny. Some might be cheesy. Some might be too far-fetched. Some might even be too kickass awesome that your brains would freeze at the thought of such awesomeness, and then blow up!

Aaaand right at the bottom is...

WISH #21: GO ON AN ADVENTURE TO SOME FARAWAY MYSTICAL REALM WITH DIFFERENT RACES, FABULOUS CREATURES, AWESOME MAGIC AND OTHER COOL FANTASY STUFF.

I would become a Dwarf with that awesome, awesome beard, kickass armor, and uber musculature. I'd carry along a magical axe that literally disintegrates every enemy with every cleave. As for long-range combat, a blunderbuss-cum-grenade that fires pressurized liquid nitrogen [or "frost"] canisters freezing the heck out of my distant enemies [before I disintegrate them of course].

Yep, kinda like this, minus the bear
and plus the kickass armor, magic axe,
and archaic firearm of freezing caliber.

My companion in my travels would be a super-hot and super-pretty [awesome] Elven sorceress (resembling Jinri Park) who can tend my wounds with her healing spells, annihilate foes with some kickass arcane spell, and, being super-sexy and cute like Jinri Park, she can, uh... you get the picture. :3

Her, plus pointy ears and kickass magic. Nyahaha!

As for our mount and pet? To save time/effort/gold for land/sea/air travel, well...

Does a big, green, destruction-breathing, flying lizard qualify as a mount?

Then we'd be travelling around, doing quests, fighting monsters and other baddies... FOR RICHES! FOR HONOR! FOR GLORY! >_<

(One thing that this post proves? I'M A GEEK. PERIOD.)

* * * * *

Well, that's Wish #21. Look out for Wishes #20 to #1 in my next posts during the following days.

Good luck, godspeed, God bless!

Amo na gid ini...

For me, this is the definitive recording of U2's "Pride (In the Name of Love)".

I will clobber anyone who dares to claim that the live '88 version sucks. Capisce?

UPDATES

UPDATE 1:  Game of Thrones Marathon

"Fire cannot kill a Dragon."
 -- Daenerys Targaryen

Just finished the second season of Game of Thrones after a midnight-to-dusk marathon on my sister's iPad. I'm not really that much of a die-hard fan, but the political intrigues, the power struggles, the [occasionally-seen] arcane elements really catch my interest. Never mind the outright gore, sex, and profanity. After all, this is a complex high fantasy aimed towards a more mature audience, and not suited for the wee ones.
As for the Daenerys Targaryen quote, well, she's my favorite character. Headstrong and clever, with a certain but necessary ruthlessness. (And she kind of resembles Barbie. Maybe she is a life-size living doll.)
Let's just say that I'm putting my money on the Khaleesi, with her dragons and sorcery. Other characters I'm rooting for are Tyrion Lannister and Arya Stark. Nonetheless, as I anticipate Season 3 (due this Summer)... GO TEAM TARGARYEN!!!

UPDATE 2: Angustias, Phobos, Metus

Ahh, at last, I've finally come across my favorite part of Psychology: Panic, Anxiety and Fear. Kind of reminds me of what first fired up my interest to take up this field...

Dr. Jonathan Crane (a.k.a. Scarecrow)
Ex-psychiatrist
Specialized in phobias and fear manipulation

Yep, Batman inspired me to take up Psychology. I guess those late afternoons or early evenings of my childhood spent on watching "Batman the Animated Series" on Studio 23 were not put to waste. I particularly find most interesting the psychology behind the villains of Gotham City because...

Tanan sila may topak.

UPDATE 3: THINGS TO DO

* Academic: Stuff for studies (research papers, assignments, readings, etc.) for the Midterms
* Extracurricular: Finalize activity plans for this hobbyist-artist organization I've been helping to mobilize
* Non-Academic: Luto, kaon, basa novel, tan-aw Iron Chef, cartoon marathon, pahuway, indi masyado maghampang
* Religious: Get my soul cleansed by attending the Recollect Augustinian Youth's formation/recollection thingy this Saturday.

* * * * *

That's all for now. In the meantime, good luck, godspeed, God bless!
